Consistently producing outstanding horses for competition

At Wilson Youngstock we are driven by success and that’s why we only invest in some of the best horse breeding combinations and bloodlines in Europe. We want to make sure that each year we are breeding or buying foals and horses that can be successful at the very highest level of the sport. In order to do this we use our knowledge of different bloodlines to select around 8-10 foals or embryos each year.

We always have a selection of horses for sale, from frozen or implanted embryos to 1,2,3 year olds and ridden horses.
Each year we carefully select which colts have the potential to be future breeding/sports stallions. Taking in to consideration their characters, bloodline, conformation, scope, carefulness and movement. We then look to send them to their relevant studbooks for stallion approvals, whether it be AES, Zangershiede or KWPN.

The same assessment is made with the mares in order to see which mares will be selected to continue breeding on the farm as three year olds. Some might carry a foal others may do ICSI or flush an embryo, and others may go directly in to the sport.

Every year we put forward a few foals for the auctions. We put forward some of our most interesting foals as we think that by gaining a good level of interest and high sales price its brings good business and shows the fantastic quality we have at Wilson Youngstock.
